VLC media player is commonly used to play video content but it also has a front-end that allows the user to manipulate media content with the use of various buttons and knobs. VLC media player supports several file types and can play files using many different audio and video codecs and container formats. The design of this software allows it to have a very fast playback speed, as well as feature a user interface that is well-suited for graphical media players.
Armacad V10 is a combination of the best features from the previous VLC versions combined with the best technology of the AVIreX frontend. The current version is an open-source application with a source code available on the website.
Armacad V10 includes a number of features, such as the following:
Text to Speech - allows the user to play files using the voice
Text Translation - the foot pedal can be used to control this function allowing the user to listen to the translated words.
Sound Processing - various effects such as Equalization, Filtering, Echo, EQ Compression, Damping are adjustable with the foot pedal.
Music playback - three equalizers and a full-featured sound mixer are available to adjust the volume, and the player supports playback of MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC and WAV.
